Your IP address is a unique address that identifies you on the web.
This address is assigned to you by your internet service provider (ISP) and is either static or dynamic.
A static IP address will not change under normal situations. A dynamic address will change under several
conditions, such as restarting your modem, disconecting and reconecting (voluntarily or not), or after a
lease period expires (time varries by ISP).
If you're on a shared connection, such as a home network, everyone hooked up to that network will share
the same IP address when seen from the web. However when seen internally (within your network) everyone
has their own IP that is unique within your network.
